Statement of Mission

“We, the Madison Hills Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas, united in Christ, enabled by the Holy Spirit, and guided by the New Testament are committed to be:

A Worshiping Family: Meeting together to praise and honor God and exalt Jesus, the Christ.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)

A Witnessing Community: Sharing with San Antonio and the whole world the Good News that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

A Willing Fellowship: Providing the encouragement for growth into Christian maturity according to the teachings and example of our Lord Jesus.

So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church. (1 Corinthians 14:12)

A Caring People: Reaching out in ministry to the joys, hurts, and needs of persons within and beyond our church membership.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
